Does the motor have an oil cooler. A 50 is probably 2 cylinders a blown head gasket would run like crap.

Positive that it's water? If you are making oil by getting fuel into it probably have a fuel pump issue. If IS water don't run the motor you will seize it.

The volt meter on dash may be the starting battery and the garmin is on the house battery

Kind of what I am thinking. But shouldn't the house battery show more than 11.2 volts?
