Get the biggest motor you can afford. It will be more efficient because the motor won't have to work as hard at cruise speed, and then you'll also have more top end for when you want (or need) it.

Yamaha has fallen behind Suzuki and Mercury IMO

Haven't run Mercs so I can't say but I agree 100% on the Suzukis. Been telling people for about 5 years that the suzukis are the most under rated ...
