While casting for bait from my boat another fisherman also casting for bait while wading asked me if I had a gaff. Gave it to him and he proceeded to pull a 4ft black tip shark out of the marsh grass. No signs of injury and recently deceased. This was at the cross over near the middle of Lea Island. Right around the corner were hundreds of people enjoying Labor Day at Lea Island. He was fat, I think he ate all of the other fish because I did not even catch a lizard fish. Lots of fat finger mullet though. Millions of tiny minnows fighting the current.

We caught 3 of them Sunday just outside the state park. My grandson (4) got to see his first big shark. He's from M8chagan.

You'd be surprised how many sharks are around people with no incident

I popped the biggest bonnethead shark I have ever seen with my clam rake not too long ago.

Thing was swimming right at me in calf deep water and if I did not pop it with the rake, I think it would have swam right through my legs!

Wife had a hammerhead about 3' literally bump into her legs at Marco Island this summer. Bumped into her then swam the other direction. Talk about putting a little brown in yer britches.....
