Flat calm, but a bit cold. Trolled for a couple of hours with no luck and then went bottom fishing and the bite as on. Got 3 man limit of trigger fish in about 2 hours and were home before 3:00. Took as long to clean them as it did to catch them. Last trip for 2017.

I started at the NW places bailing 12 inch SB. I had to be real careful cause my fishing buddy is 6 weeks out of Rotator surgery. When it layed flat I ran for some better spots 24-28 miles out.

Man it was flat and little to no current.

1 nice Gag
some endagered AR's (released)
slew of Vermillion and Knot head Sea Bass
A grunt Army.

Ran it at 1:15 , cleared bardens inlet 45 minutes later.

Its very rare I can run 4500+ RPM, 35+ on the way in.

Hit the dock at dead low tide. Lowest I have seen in Harkers Island since the ten years I have been going/living there. Had to let the boat sit until 6:30 to get it out of the ramp.

I'll do a video next bunch of triggers I get to show you the easy way. It'll save your filet hand and you can filet them as quick as any other bottom dwellers. And way to go all on the great catches.
