Looking to target both red snapper and wahoo tomorrow, normally we would troll for while then finish out the day on the bottom but in looking at the solunar tables and seeing the major period from noon-3pm and the forecast calling for the wind to pick up throughout the day Iím thinking of doing it the other way around, hit the bottom for a couple/few hours or until we get our snappers and then troll the rest of the day. Iíve noticed trolling seems to be more affected by the solunar stuff than bottom fishing and of the conditions do kick up some like forecasted would rather be trolling than bottom fishing when itís rougher. What do yíall think? Any intel in general on whether the bite the last few days has been earlier or later?

we switched to bottm fishing first and after a box of fish we troll to relax and what ever we catch trolling is gravy on the taters we have brought more fish home like this than ever before. the bottom critters eat better than mahi anyway.

I really wish my brother-in-law and crew would bottom fish first. Heck, you could probably do better with Mahi bottom fishing with a light line treble with squid head/tentacles.
