I had a 23 Chawk fighting lady yellow with a 200 yamaha, two 840xs garmins and fusion 700 stereo with jl audio speakers. It was taken saturday night 24th/ sunday am 25th from bailey marine in wilmington nc. Has yellow and gray splattler paint on the inside of the boat and custom speaker boxes on the sides on the gunnels.

You should probably edit the title of this post to say "STOLEN 23 C-Hawk"

Might get a few more views that way.

That is very common in FL. Often not even the hull is found as they go straight in to a container and onto a freighter. Yamaha motors seem to be in demand along with electronics with 12" screens.

Bahamian marinas are putting chains across the entrances at night now to keep the the Yamaha and Suzuki thieves out.

Im glad you found your boat and I hope you had good insurance. There is something sentimental about getting "your" boat back and not a replacement.

I am so sorry for you, my friend. I know we all get attached to our boats and gear and it is tough to find that it has been taken by some low life. I have been lucky so far in that my boats are parked in the drive with a video camera aimed at them, a survellance sign is posted and the camera has a pilot light on it. If some brave scumbag approaches the boats, he is already screwed. Reminds me of years ago when I was young and poor (still am poor) I pulled into the marina at Ocean Isle around midnight, got in a sleeping bag in the bed of my pickup to wait for a friend to meet me early to go out in his boat. Around daylight, some dude walks up to my truck and rattles my fishing rods he is commencing to steal. Guess he didn't see me hunkered down in the bag to keep the skeeters off. When I sat up and pointed the P-38 Walther with the swastikas on it courtesy of my late father (392nd Bomb Group), the dirtbag took off across the yard yelling something about having gotten too close to my truck and bumped the rods. He got close to dying. Bet he had to launder his shorts....Hooyah. Again, my sympathy to you.

Should have popped one off in his general direction just for fun!
