Makita has really been adding to there line of cordless power tools and they are awesome. I'm in the process of switching over adding cordless stuff for almost everything. I cannot tell you how much faster and easier it is go into the bilge of a boat with one bag with a saw, multi tool, drill, grinder, small shopvac, flashlight all in one bag with interchangeable batteries all in a bag or two. No more trying to find power, 240 50 and 30 convereters, drop cords in water(or dirty cord messing up gunnel). Heavenly!

Just throw bag in the boat when fishing and all of the sudden when something bad happens 60 miles out, you can cut through panels or do do darn near anything you need to without relying on boats power supply real fast.

There are other brands, but for reliability, and selection Makita is hard to beat.

Btw, Witt a Tools Plus on College road in ILM is my go to source for all things tools. Yes you can buy the tool for less online. However, he knows which model has problems, which battery will work best etc, what tool is coming out in a few months I should wait for, etc. I spend less money in the long run buying from someone that really knows the products and can steer me to what I need instead of what I think I need.
