Any updates on dredging plans for New Topsail?
The inlet itself looks clear, and in fact has opened a new channel on its own (Imagine that)

But has there been any chatter about the Lea Island side or opening up Topsail Creek at all? It isn't fun to be able to see the inlet from the boat lift and not be able to get there....

I may be wrong, but I think Topsail Beach is working on getting the funding & permits.

Two data points
I spoke with Topsail and Surf City in October and was told they have no intention of providing funds because the inlet was in good shape and could be accessed with no problems from the Island
The last time dredging occurred there was funding from Pender County, Topsail and Surf City, and then it took about 6 months to get the dredge in to work.
I hope they change their minds and provide funding.

I could empathize with Topsail and Surf City. Access from Banks Chnl is fine. They aren't concerned about others getting there. And it doesn't benefit Pender county much.

Guess we will be going north, so we can go south through Banks Chnl!
