As of 2weeks ago the Inlet was not marked. There was a red can sitting on the north bar and a couple greens not in their spots. Has this been corrected or should we head to mbi tomorrow morning
Thanks

we ran out yesterday.
I ignored the last red can that is obviously way off and used the last green, otherwise followed the cans and never saw less than 5' although it was still sketchy in the inlet so I may have missed a shallower spot.
Ocean had some swell to it but not bad, inlet was a 5/10. Going to suck when the forecast is worse...

Nothing new. As of yesterday the cans have not been moved. I do like Steve and just ignore the last red, and stay closer to the greens.

Came in yesterday three hrs before low tide. I was not happy but have run this inlet for quite some time and did fine. Personally think it's the worst marked ever. Buoys missing completely other red up in the shoal north side since Matthew . I set a track at high tide one day and use that

Ran out yesterday morning, at 6am an hour or so before low tide.
we only had 1 1/2ft of water running out!! I had been running towards
the north side ( masonboro) as that's been the deeper side.DO NOT RUN that side!
we came back in at Masonboro last night to not have to deal with that dangerous ass inlet!
BE CAREFUL1 AND AVOID LOW TIDE CONDITIONS !!!

Hit around 4 feet when we went out/in this past Monday, came in at dead low tide. Hugged near greens on the exit and ignored the way off red can as others stated.

Essentially ran it as I had this winter.. somewhat close to beach around the bend, then break off and go towards the greens a bit

I appreciate all the replies. I ran it last month and hit around 4 feet lowest spot. I followed boats both in and out and had two decent lines. Only problem is I updated my gps combo and now am back to square 1 again. Thanks again for the info.

I ran it at low tide this afternoon. Going out, stick just south of the first red, then north of the 2nd red then turn fairly hard south and go just barely south of the #3green, then aim just south of the #1 green. Take it slow, read the water and don't run it in the dark unless you have made a good track line.

I've been sticking to the two reds on the way out to get around the shoal.

From the second red switch over to the greens.

There is actually better water just to the outside of the two last greens.
