[quote="jasfishin"]Anyone been out of Southport area recentl. Thinking of making first attempt of year on Sunday hoping SE wind clean it up as tower cam looks rather thick still.[/quote

Check with Inman at Blackbeard Scuba. He should be able to give you a good local report.

Ended up pulling the plug after how rough everyone said it was Saturday and seeing wind kick up easterly during the day Sunday.
Inman had crew heading towards Navy wreck didn't get chance follow up with him if they went or not.

I dove out of Morehead City on Thursday.... Hit some live bottom a few miles east of the R14 and had maybe 10 to 15'. No a whole lot of current - just cloudy water.
Did very well on fish - just no vis to speak of. Temp was around 72 top to bottom.
Fishing inshore on Saturday and the temp was around 75.5 at Beaufort Inlet.
Cheers!
Doug
