Just finished putting brand new cockpit bolsters on my boat. First trip out and I slipped with a knife in my hand and put a two inch slice in it!

Any recommendations for repairing it?

Been there, done that with a boat seat.

The bad part was that I was telling myself not to use the knife close to the new seat.....duh!

Repair depends on the type of construction. Back in the days when Ronco had a new miracle product every week, there were the vinyl repair kits. I would call some auto detailers or upholstery shops and see if they have any recommendations.

If you are in Wilmington, call Curtis at Bluefin Canvas. I had a wahoo put a nice slice in a cushion and can't even tell it happened after he fixed it.

Idk Fernie, a little cut on the hand can be fixed with some antibiotic cream and a bandaid! Slicing a new cockpit bolster would probably be the bigger headache to fix haha

I called the guy who built the cushions and he told me the name of the product that he would use to fix it.

So I ordered a tube and will see what happens. I will post before and after pics and hopefully fix this myself
