I might not get this just right but I believe it was a rescue mission. My wife picked it up on Facebook through a close friend. Evidently three gentlemen went Spanish fishing on Friday and did not return. The boat which capsized and one of the gentlemen were found Saturday morning. I am unaware if the other two have been located. Again, I may not have this just right but it has weighed heavy on our hearts with prayers sent up.

Like gibby-up, this isn't first hand info. Neighbor told me it was 3 friends from Goose Creek, 1 found with boat, 1 body recovered, 1 still missing. Neighbor said survivor indicated all 3 were wearing life preservers. I don't know why there isn't more about this out there.

Man this is another bad story of a trip gone wrong. So sad. People need to wake up because Mother Nature will get you!

I see where the CG suspended the search for the third person. With them so close to the beach when they capsized, was hoping for a better outcome.

A grim reminder to all of us that we don't have to be out in the stream for bad things to happen.

Thoughts and prayers with all involved.

Some might call me stupid, and I am Sometimes, but when the officials know they are looking a body why don't they pull a trawl net. Yes it's gruesome but if I had family missing I would rather they be trawled up and offer the family closure than waiting to see if the body ever came up.

Thoughts out to the families. Just another terrible accident that could have been prevented. I was surfing Sat. Bogue Inlet had to be super dangerous with Irma's 15 sec swell.

I'm sure most know, but when that ground swell period goes north of 11-12 sec, inlet/shoal conditions become unpredictable as there are always bigger waves sets that are infrequent. You may watch from the inside for 15 min and it look ok, but a big one rise up as you get to the outer bar. I would have never done this myself and warned my brother-in-law, but we had a close call back in 2010. Again, thoughts out to the family and no disrespect meant by posting this story and video.
