Just received word that Capt Jimmy Price has passed. For those that knew him know that we lost one of the best flounder fishermen ever , always willing to share his knowledge and proved it in the many classes he taught around the country and the info always freely given at the bait shop...Rest in peace dear friend, i'll miss our chats and your fishing reports!!

I was sorry to hear this earlier.

Butch Foster wrote a nice piece on Jimmy today. I wish I knew how to post it here, it made a time like this a Little easier.

Hey Butch Foster posted this 20 mins ago. Southport/oak Island, NC has lost a legend today. It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that Captain Jimmy Price passed earlier today. I talked with Captain Jimmy just 3 days ago and I want to share a little of our conversation here. Capt Jimmy told me he was tired of hurting, he had made peace with his Lord and Savior, and he was ready to go. When I left the Tackle Shop, I felt a sence of peace come over me as I knew after our conversation, Captain Jimmy was ready and I think he knew he would be called home very soon., R.I.P Capt Jimmy Price, you are already missed but rest assured we will fish together again one day soon!!

Stopped by his shop last fall, had a few laughs, heard a few stories, he never failed to entertain.
Shared his battle with cancer & it wasn't going to get him down as he lit up another cigarette.
RIP Capt. Jimmy, you will be missed. . ICM

He will be missed by anyone he ever touched.
He had a huge heart for kids and I swear he was half flounder.

Never got to know the man but have heard him talk and speak of flounder. Sad to have lost another great fisherman and he has probably forgotten more about flounder fishing than most any of us will ever hope to learn. RIP Capt.

Hate to hear that.

A legend in his own time.

My departed father thought the world of him.

RIP Jimmy P! Never forget the "unique" classes he taught and the stories he told us at Wildlife. Always managed to talk us into buying some lure that would be the 'secret' bait! Truly a legend!
