Hey all, looking for suggestions!!

Looking for a solution to the problem of getting lures (and fish) in a big tangled net of a pier net. I have a standard pier net and find myself spending way to much time trying to untangle the lure (and sometimes fish) from the net. More times than not this occurs with rock fish as they tend to barrel roll once I get them up and set them on the ground.

My thoughts were some sort of metal/plastic rectangular tub, with plenty of holes in the bottom to drain water, that was light enough to use like a pier net. A "fish basket" is kind of on the same lines but a shallow rectangle with a 4 point harness seems like a better option.

Metal fabricator anyone?

How about a galvanized clam basket?

Find a rubber net fabric that will replace the mono, or cord, on your existing hoop. Swap trebles for singles.
