I am looking for a golden retriever for my twin daughters. I have found some but they want an arm and a leg for them upwards of 1000.00 I was hoping to find one less than 800.00 if some one can point me in a good direction this will be a pet and not bred.

Thanks
Jason

Hate to say it but you usually get what you pay for.
Average price for a well bred dog is $1600 to $2000 weather you want a family pet or a dog to show. Your making a good choice with a Golden and if you call some breeders that breed show dogs you may find a perfect dog that has a defect you can’t even see that will eliminate that pup from being sold as show quality. Also be advised that if you want a female some breeders will give you a female with the agreement that when she’s old enough to breed she comes back to be bread and then goes to the breeders place to have her pups.
Find a breeder that has this option. Sometimes you get a puppy if you strike a deal. Every breeder is different. No harm in asking.
Hope this helps.

You don't have to pay that much for an excellent golden, hunting or pet. PM me for info.

We have a 3 year old English Cream Retriever, we bought second hand on Facebook when her original owners could not spend enough time with her. Evidently her offspring would not be eligible for AKC registration because she's a "English Cream", but she is an AKC registered Golden Retriever. I think they got a good deal on her, and we only paid $400 when she was 6 months old, and I wouldn't take 6 thousand for her now. Sweetest dog I've ever been around. Great with kids and other dogs.

Long story short, the original owner bought her from a breeder in Fayetteville, but I only have his name, Mr. Gregory Allan Debruler. I could send you the sire and dames name of you like, but this girl is a beautifully proportioned Golden Retriever, with excellent temperament.

Pretty sure that's the breeder for our 5 year old golden. Great dog affectionate to a fault sometimes. Goes everywhere with means is sleeping in my office as I type this. Highly recommended (as long as your not looking for a hunting dog) .http://www.goldentreasureskennel.com. I think (95% sure) this is the breeder.
