I have an aftco, white SFE and a green SFE. I like the SFE's better but can be tough to fly if you don't have the right wind. There's a lot of different ways but it's just a get out and do it kind of thing. Hardest part will be getting the kite in the air off the boat.

I bought a blacks 3 release kit and replaced the swivels with spro ones. Other than that just get the kite in the air attach baits as clips go out and watch everything. It's constant work for the most part. Not really a put out and forget kind of thing

standard sfe hands down. perfect for 10-18kts. Wash and scrub with soap water brand new out of the tube, mine get rinsed after every trip. any salt in the pores and she won't fly.

You can always start out using balloons to help the learining curve...helium balloons attached to the rear of the kite....

Tip a friend of mine gave me, keep the bait in a bucket and reel in free spool until you get the kite fairly high and almost in position. Much easier to get the kite flying and set without having to worry about the bait. Then set the bait out.

Another option is the hook your lines in and have the hooks attached at the boat. Get kite out and then put baits on and reel up slack. Issue for us has been the clips have to set so loose for a menhaden that either of those methods can usually lead to the line coming unclipped. Tightening the clip then leads to it not releasing
