Anyone on here ever used one? I have been considering one for a few months. I know rhodan makes one with a 80" shaft. I really like the idea of being able to stay in one place without throwing a anchor, because i am horrible at hitting my marks when anchoring and sometimes spend an hour trying to get somewhat close.

Thats all i use, i havent dropped anchor in two years. I have the 36v riptide. 60" shaft works very well for my 22' boat in most conditions. If you like to fish in rough seas the longer 72" or 80" shaft would be a better choice.

Same as Ward35, I fish the reef and sometimes slow troll live bait with Minn Kota Riptide. Anchor has not been used since installing the Riptide I-pilot. I has a 21' Carolina Skiff with 60" Riptide, it done great in fairly rough conditions. Putting the 72" on new 24' bay boat, waiting for them to re-stock. Per boat dealer, Minn kota models sale out this time of year, every year to empty stock and make space for next years model.
