NOAA Seeks Nominations for Atlantic HMS Panel; Deadline Nov 27

NOAA Fisheries is seeking nominations for the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species (HMS) Advisory Panel. Recreational and commercial fishing interests, the conservation community, and the scientific community are represented on this panel. NOAA Fisheries consults with the Advisory Panel when preparing and implementing Fishery Management Plans and plan amendments for Atlantic tunas, swordfish, sharks, and billfish.

At this time, nominations are needed to fill one-third of the Advisory Panel posts for a 3-year appointment. The deadline for nominations is November 27, 2006.
