What is a Fish Here Map

"Fish Here" Maps are a service offered by Captain Dave Tilley and SaltwaterCentral.Com. We take the latest datasets from Seaview Fishing, NOAA and several others and pull together a recommendation on where YOU should fish the next day. These recommendations work for just about any species commonly fished for along the NC coast. Blue Marlin to King Mackerel, we cover it all. Your date! Your Inlet! Your Area! These maps include an overall view of the CURRENT conditions of the NC waters along with a personal recommendation for where you should fish the next day for your selected species.

Quit Fishing and Start Catching!

"Fish Here" Maps are very affordable and backed up with over 20 years of offshore fishing right here along the East Coast.

At $35.00 per day, "Fish Here" Maps cost about as much as a box of cigar minnows or a package of Ballyhoo. Don't ride around blind looking for that special spot. Let us put you in the area that holds FISH TODAY! No guessing. No Boat Rides. All Catching.

Have a look at a set of our maps for a single day!

#5 Start watching the water about 10 inshore of Same Ol.  There should be a decent temp break and grass lines about 7-8 miles inshore holding slinger Mahi.  You are on the south side of the eddy and the water will be muddled at best with a series of small temp breaks.  Work your way offshore to the break and then turn North along the break, Follow the temp breaks  to the north as best as you can.  Work the features as you find them.Wahoo, Mahi.

#7 Start watching the water close about 10 miles out from the Swansboro Hole.  There is a set of inshore temp breaks and then an offshore temp break in this area along the leading edge of the Eddy moving up the coast. (Look at the SST shot...Yellow is HOT and green is cool)  On the inshore temp breaks should be mahi.  On the temp break just inshore of Swansboro Hole should be wahoo and gaffer Mahi.  Work north along the temp breaks.  There is a salinity change and MLD change in this area.  The further North you go the better the bite will be.

(Look at the SST shot...Yellow is HOT and green is cool)  On the inshore temp breaks should be mahi.  On the temp break just offshore of Deep Hole SW should be wahoo and gaffer Mahi.  Work north along the temp breaks.  There is a salinity change and MLD change in this area.

#9 Lines in 3 miles inshore of the 90 foot Drop.   I would expect a series of small (.1 degree F)  temp breaks along this path with good current rips.  Work offshore toward the NE Big Rock and then push offshore toward Panam.    I expect most of the action is around the NE corner and just offshore near the hard 2 degree temp break between NE Big Rock and The Panam.   Work the features as you find them. I would expect scattered grass.  Slinger Mahi with Gaffers mixed in,  Wahoo.

We put lines in the water about 4 miles shy of spot #2. We found a good temp break of 78 to 80 deg. We didn't get a bite for about 2 hours then it turned on for us. We caught 2 dolphin and 3 whaoo. Missed two more hoos on the planner. One whaoo was over 40lbs. All in all a good day nice seas with the confidence to stay in an area. Thanks ...
