This might be old news for some of you but I thought I would pass this along. I went out Carolina beach inlet last Thursday it was close to high tide and I didn't have any problem. I came back in on low tide and I was in between the cans but couldn't tell by the waves if one side was better or not so I stayed in the middle and hit bottom but I was able to get off. I've been using that inlet for over 30 years and never hit bottom. I have a single engine 23 foot cc.

I just got a new trolling motor on the boat and wanted to try it out so we went bottom fishing. Ran about 20 miles out and worked out to about 35 miles from the inlet. We ran into all kinds of spot tail pinfish and finally got away from them at the last couple spots. Ended the day with a mixed bag, but got on some really nice trigger fish at the last spot.
