That explains the new survey. Looks like they cut through the sand bar coming off bear island. Not sure that will stay open long. Had hoped to try it out Sat, but plans change.

Town of EI has reported Bouge inlet will have some dredging work in July- August

Came in today at almost dead low tide (-0.3 ft). Saw just less than 5 ft over the ocean bar and about 3.5 ft over the sand bar between the point and bear island. Measured from keel which is about a foot down. This is on the latest waypoints by army corps of engineers.

Was just looking at the most recent survey. Not looking good. Couldn’t find a dredging schedule, but Bogue inlet needs it. Again. Like always. Good thing emerald isle didn't want that terminal groin…
