Had nice day out in 20' to 35' clear blue water @ 70-71 water temp. 7 nice long spanish 8 release. Most on #2 planer # 1 chrome clark spoon. Great day to be on the water!!

The reports on this site have just dwindled in the past couple years :(
Anyway - for a change, the weekend forecast doesn't look like a washing machine for about the first time in 3 months, so we might get down to Lookout and see if we can find anything. The ABs are usually a little later there than vs Topsail/Wrightsville, but just thought I'd ask if anybody knows of any being caught nearshore or even barely offshore yet (within 5-10 miles?).

I tried looking at some other typical NC fishing report websites and I can't find anything that even looks remotely recent so if anybody can give me a link to a local report website, I'd take that too (knowing that it comes with a grain of salt....charter captains and piers always say the bite is on fire to get you to go).

Hope everyone has dusted their reels on the shad; Bite has been pretty good inland the past several weeks. Water levels are right. I'm ready to tangle with the Nita reel soon

Looking at the flat seas today and tomorrow… wondering if there is anything still along the beach to troll for? Bogue inlet pier reporting 66 deg water. Seems like that would have pushed all the Spanish and kings out.

I had to cancel a group Saturday offshore due to conditions. Anybody interested in taking them (4) off the beach for Spanish/kings?
