I would have stopped. When I ran charters I never was less than 45 minutes early on the water waiting on clients. Only a lazy captn has clients waiting on him ~~ a rude one too.

If trolling, no matter live/dead bait or lures make sure they are not spinning. A natural presentation is needed.
