50mi round trip, burned 15 gal. = 3.3mpg

5300 rpm 46-48mph
3500 rpm 28 mph cruise

I had a guy in Wilmington just fix the hull on mine, where the trailer bunk brackets were not installed properly. He did a great job and very reasonable. Let me know if you want his #

I 2nd the fabric softner also. It make a big difference on how well it opens. I normally soak mine for an hour, then rinse and hang until COMPLETELY dry.
