I would've used 65 lb braid and 50 mono on a 30W, but what you have done and plan will work fine.

You actually hurt yourself by not financing, IMO. Finance it then pay it off, if that's what you want to do.

Dealers can be tough to deal with. I'd rather by used from a private seller any day.
