I have a Contender 28 and the caulk between sections on my deck is turving black, I assume from some sort of mold. Tried to bleach it out to no avail. Other than taking it out and reapplying, any other tricks I should try. Would think that Contender would not use a caulk suceptible to this. If I need to remove and reapply, any suggestions for a brand that wont do this?

Try hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Itís the best thing Iíve found for getting rid of black mold in homes. It actually penetrates and kills the roots unlike bleach or ammonia that just kills the surface mold.

Once it starts you will never get it clean again. Take it out and replace it with 3M 4200 Fast Cure and you will never need to worry again. Said to say, but Contender has cut alot of corners in recent years.

I've had some luck with commercial grade bleach.

Marine 31 has worked great for me. Spray it on and wait a couple of minutes and then wipe and rinse.
