old site was much more user friendly. Please bring back the old site! I can't even get the reefcast or forecast to work on this thing. I am sure it is me, but goodness

Hi Dave, I paid for a SeeCast subscription this morning and and can't access any of the info there. Does it take awhile for my payment to go through for me to access? Thanks!

Hey Tridogs, you have 4 posts and all of them are bashing the new site? Curious, where were you before the site change? For someone so effected you'd have thought you have been contributing for years!

Site tells me I'm not a member?? Sure feels like I paid for your service. Website is awful, can't navigate anywhere or access any content? I know you guys are trying to improve the service, but this is totally useless. I need weather updates for fishing now that fish are around, your reefcast ensemble is my go to. I hate NOAA. Fish weather and bouy weather til you guys get this mess sorted out. Please let me know why the site tells me I'm not member as well ?!!
Thanx
Rob

HI Dave, Thanks for the fast response. I know you are up to your eyeballs right now. I tried again and I can get a little further but when I hit the launch SeeCast button I get a message saying I need to select my state first. I already have NC in my account into and didn't have another option to choose my state. The page with the "Launch Seacast" button now shows my subscription status so at least it recognizes my subscription now.

Change your state-then hit the SWC-then change your state again.

The state is held by a cookie called fh_state.I am trying to rest it

If.....that does not work.....call me so I can trouble shoot it

Yeah that didn't work. I then tried restting the state, signed out, closed my browser, and signed back in, changed it back to NC then signed out and closed my browser again and I still get the same message that I need to enter my state. I'll give you a call tomorrow some time. Any particular time better for you?

I am here tonight and happy to help. I might be able to help tomorrow night sometime but I already know I have a bunch of maps and who knows what bugs there to kill.

Never mind.....I can fix your problem. My respoce above was for someone else. Sorry.

It should be good to go in a couple mins.....

Dave, I have a question on SEECast.

I fish out of Oregon Inlet and the temp data for the waypoint "The Point" is not making sense. On SEECast, it says the temp is 62 at The Point (0 feet) and the SST data (AVHRR) for the same spot says 76. Am I doing something wrong? I think this difference has been there since the new site went live.

Thanks.

I am out dealing with my dad today and tomorrow. I will have a look when I get back home.

Right off the top of my head you could be seeing a coaching issue with your browser. Lots SEECast and then hold down the shift key and hit the “reload” icon in your browser. This tells the browser to download all new files.

If you are on auto renew it will just happen. It is a PayPal function not a function of the site. If you come to the site and is expired you will see the link for it to renew.

It is 24.99 a year.

I think you are right, Dave. The SEECast stuff is not refreshing for me. Everything else seems to be up to date, but for the seecast stuff. I've tried it on firefox and chrome and refreshed both - same results.

No worries, everything else is there so I can get what I need.

When you get home, take a look.

Thanks.

We found a Processing error that we had to take to NOAA. (They did not know about it) It will take a week or so for us to fix it on our end as we run this model in house.

Stand by it is inbound.

In the mean time....I have realtime SSH and Salinity coming in the next couple days.
