After catching around 20 or so 13"ers Saturday evening, finally got that one trout that keeps you coming back. Little over three pounds and 20 1/2", the filets weighed about one pound each. Didn't have time to do anything with him Sunday, so had him with new taters and slaw tonite. Boys, it don't get much better! I ain't sure it wasn't better than a slab of prime rib!

Nice meal. Good catch.

My boys have been spanking the trout and flounder recently, cooked em last night with a new recipe my youngest found on a fishing site of his. It didnt sound great but turned out awesome!!!!! Put the filets in Franks Hot Sauce and then dredged in general purpose flour with a little baking powder, fried em up and dang....we will do that again. Thought that the Franks would make it hot and salty but it came out really good - not hot.

I had a similar experience today.
Must have caught 40 12-14" trout. They were everywhere I went from figure 8 to seabreeze.
Then this 24" red took my trout rod for a ride.

Multitudes of short specks bode well for next year--especially if we have a mild winter--can hardly wait..
