I have a 1999 24' Albemarle Center Console. The scupper flaps are the originals. They need to be replaced. I have been trying unsuccessfully for several days to order them from Albemarle, I have left both voicemails and emails and have not received any type of response. Does anyone know where I can buy them or what type of material I could use to make my own, Thank you in advance.

Are they the typical black rubber flapper ones or something specific to Albemarle?
Lighthouse Marine and Academy sports sells replacements if they're the generic ones. (I got mine from Academy, they're both TH brand)

No they are specific to Albemarle. If I can't get OEM's I am going to get sheet neoprene rubber and when I haul out later in the year I will take off the old ones and use them as a template and cut new ones. Here are pictures from another Albe.

I figured so, but thought I'd ask to be sure.

Hey Barry,

Found this on EBay. The headline says used but the description says new. I don't know if that'll help but just thought I would pass it along.

Contacted the people on Ebay. I would need to buy the entire unit. Not something that I need. So I opted for this. I will use the old one as a template. How bad can it get , even if I have to change them often. Current ones are the originals, they will be 20 years old.

I think home made ones should work just fine. Good luck.

Hey Barry, I got a good friend from Rdu that keeps reminding me we are no longer on the 40 year plan, it's taken awhile to sink in but by golly he is right, if you get 10 years out of your homemade one's you are still ahead of the game

Take a heat gun to the ones you have and get them to straighten out...

Put the homemade ones on. They seemed to work until I had a lot of weight in the stern. Fishbox full of ice and fish 4 not so small guys (myself included) fishing back there. Was taking water in which traveled into my bilge which was raining on top of my wash down pump and fried it. So new wash down pump, making a pitch roof diverter over the pump with a $.62 piece of 8" galvanized flashing. And ball scuppers. Problem solved.

Galvanized will eventually rust, might want to consider aluminum. Also, you might want to check with Wilmington Rubber and Gasket to see if they can get the original material.

I guess I could put some sheet rubber over the pump. The cover is just screwed into the bulkhead sort of a pitched roof to direct any water from dripping onto the pump. If it should rust it is simple enough to change out.
