I have been on this site for several years and found it to be an excellent source of info. As of late the number of postings is quite low.
any insight as to why?

I'm with you VPICHem - I was looking for reports after a calm calm july fourth weekend and it was a vaccuum in here. Not sure what happened.

Probably not many reports because the fishing has been really slow. Just my guess as to why..

Social media killed the traffic years ago.
That’s why you have to pay for the tools now.

FB groups generally annoy me. Too much traffic and notifications and no sorting of postings and OMG the spammers on there are awful. I manage two group pages and the bot clickbait spam links are so bad that we had to tweak for approval before your first post. Which just also kills the discussion too.

I think we are seeing an uptick in the forum now a days. Folks are realizing the tracking that happens and the Big brother BS that happens.
None of that happens here.
I am happy to report “ The Buck Stops Here”
You got a problem…..my phone number is on every post.

Groups on Facebook tend to bother me. There's an excessive amount of spammers on there, constant notifications, and an inability to categorize posts. I'm in charge of two different groups on Facebook, and the bot clickbait spam links are so awful that I had to make some adjustments before you could make your first post. Which effectively ends the conversation as well. mini crossword

Good post! I have been wondering the same as really like the simplicity of a forum like this one with great tools and info.
Only thing I wish Capt. Dave could fix is the notifications when someone responds to your post.

Great! Can't wait! I think it will generate more discussions if can get the email where someone responded so we can come back and continue. Otherwise, it is totally forgotten in most cases and the thread just dies out.
