Greetings,
New here and planning some camping/fishing trips to Eastern MD & DE in 2024. Planning on a couple head boat trips at OC, Indian River Inlet and giving my kayak some saltwater use as well
Anyways my Dad left us years ago with a plethora of fishing gear. Being in Ohio all the freshwater gear gets used all the time. He did have a little salt gear that I would like help with or just seeing if there is something I can use. (If there is a better way/place to find info on these please recommend.)
I'm going to list a couple rods here and would appreciate if we can pick a good reel to use if these are viable options?
1. Shimano Triton extra Heavy 8' 15-30lb TDR-1804 (no reel)
2.Shakespeare Ugly Stick BWS 1100 med action 8' (no reel)
These two have reels
3. OC Tackle big cat series 7' med-heavy 10-25lb with Penn 209 level wind
4. Black Magic SM30 6'6" 30lb action with a couple roller guides with a Penn 113H 4/0 has clicker
A few recommendations to match up any of these for use as inshore on my kayak and if I can use or should even bother using on a party boat?
