Notice is hereby given that the North Carolina Marine Fisheries Commission Northeast Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Board Meeting Room located at 153 Courthouse Road in Currituck, NC.
The Committee will discuss the results of the MFC February 3, 2004 General Advisory meeting, where the results of a survey evaluating the MFC Committee process was discussed. The Committee will discuss improvements to the advisor process.
The Committee will also receive an update on MFC and Division management activities. Recent legislation, fishery management plans (FMP’s), new MFC rules, and pertinent federal and Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) activities will be discussed.
