Public Can Continue To Comment On Coastal Habitat Protection Plan

RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources will continue to accept public comment on the draft Coastal Habitat Protection Plan during the remaining months of the review process.

A requirement of the Fisheries Reform Act of 1997, the CHPP identifies important habitats that sustain North Carolina’s billion-dollar commercial and recreational fishing industries and recommends ways to protect and enhance them.
