(AC) will meet on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the North
Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
Washington Regional Office, located at 943 Washington Square Mall,
Washington, NC.
The AC will review the draft Striped Mullet FMP. The Committee and
Division have been working for over a year on an FMP which will manage
the striped mullet fisheries. The mullet stock is not overfished and
has been at viable levels for several years. The draft FMP will be
forwarded to the MFC to take to public meetings. The DMF would like the
AC to advise the Division and MFC as to the number of public meetings to
hold and potential locations.
