Media Advisory Coast Guard Suspends Search for Missing Tugboat Crewman PORTSMOUTH, VA. – The Coast Guard has suspended the search this afternoon for Richard Kuczera, a 38-year old crewman from the tugboat Emma M. Roehrig. The search for Kuczera, a New York resident, who fell overboard at approximately 5 a.m. today, eight miles west of Cape Charles, Va. Coast Guard 25 and 41-foot search and rescue boats from Station Cape Charles, two Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk helicopters from Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., along with the Maryland pilot vessel Patasco, and tugboats Bando Sea and Emma M. Roehrig have been searching an area 10.5 by 7.5 miles since Kuczera was reported missing early this morning.
