Coastal Habitat Protection Plan Steering Committee


The Coastal Habitat Protection Plan Steering Committee will meet at 10 a.m. March 6, at the Craven County Cooperative Extension Service office at the Clarks exit from U.S. Highway 70 west of New Bern. 

The Coastal Habitat Protection Plan Steering Committee is composed of two members each from the Environmental Management, Coastal Resources, and Marine Fisheries commissions. The committee provides oversight for implementation of the Coastal Habitat Protection Plan (CHPP) by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), as required by the Fisheries Reform Act of 1997. At this meeting, the committee will discuss the status of CHPP implementation.   Status reports will be provided to the committee regarding implementation by their agencies.
