Department of Natural Resources’ deputy director for the Marine Resources Division in Charleston, has been elected as vice chair of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. According to Tina Berger with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, as vice chair, Boyles will be a member of the Commission’s Administrative Oversight Committee, which provides guidance to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission executive director and staff on fisheries policy, legislative issues, budget, funding and annual activity planning. Boyles will also work closely with the newly elected chair, George Lapointe of Maine, and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Executive Director John V. O’Shea, during the next two years.
