The crew helped dewater the boat and escorted it to Willoughby Marina. Another crew from Station Portsmouth responded to a disabled 23-foot boat near the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel at about 10 p.m. The Coast Guard crew towed the pleasure craft, with four people on board, to Blue Water Marina in the Hampton River. The crew from the earlier dewatering rescue responded to a 23-foot boat drifting and taking on water in the Elizabeth River at about 10:20 p.m. The Coast Guard took the boat, with three people on board, in side tow to Lambert’s Point Pier in Norfolk. |
