HATTERAS, N.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced a man Monday after he suffered a head injury aboard a fishing boat six miles south of Hatteras Inlet.
At 9:10 a.m., Station Hatteras Inlet watchstanders were notified a crew member aboard the fishing boat Miss Kayleigh suffered a head injury.
A 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew and a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew launched at 9:15 a.m. and arrived on scene at 9:47 a.m. The RBS crew medevaced the man and arrived at Station Hatteras Inlet at 10:20 a.m.
The man was transported to the Outer Banks Hospital in Nag’s Head by awaiting EMS personnel.
