BALTIMORE — Coast Guard and Baltimore City Fire Department personnel medevaced a man from a sailing vessel near the Seagirt Marine Terminal Sunday evening.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region received a report from a good Samaritan stating a man was aboard a 30-foot sailing vessel with lacerations after falling overboard and required emergency medical care.
Sector Maryland-NCR watchstanders launched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Curtis Bay and notified Baltimore City FD.
Once on scene, an EMT from Station Curtis Bay applied first aid while personnel from Baltimore City FD applied a tourniquet.
The man was transported to awaiting EMS at Seagirt Marine Terminal.
