JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Coast Guard rescue crews from Station Charleston and Air Facility Charleston have responded to an emergency call from a lady on board a 38-foot sailboat that has grounded along the Charleston Jetties in the vicinity of Dynamite Hold.


The Coast Guard Operations Center in Charleston received the emergency distress call today by VHF radio at 1:57 p.m.


The vessel is in a area of high surf and breaking waves. The male and female on board may have to be airlifted from the sailboat. For more up to date information please call (904) 270-0731.
