Coast Guard, others search for man over board from Bering Sea crab boat JUNEAU, Alaska – A Coast Guard helicopter crew along with an Alaska State Trooper fixed-wing aircraft and four Good Samaritan vessels are currently searching for a man over board 150 miles northwest of Saint Paul. The Coast Guard received notification at about 11 a.m. today that a crewman aboard the fishing vessel Sultan went overboard. The crewman reportedly was wearing rain gear. The Coast Guard issued an urgent marine information broadcast and directed an H60 Jayhawk helicopter crew to the scene. The Sultan also remains on-scene searching for their missing crewman. The Sultan is a 134-foot vessel based in Seattle. Weather on scene consists of 35-knot winds, 15-to-18-foot seas, rain an air temperature of 38 degrees.
