PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard rescued two people Sunday after the boat they were on began taking on water five miles east of Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders received notification Sunday at approximately 4:20 p.m. that the 32-foot sailboat Island Time with two people aboard was taking on water.
Coast Guard Station Cape May, New Jersey, launched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew to assist. The coxswain of the 45-foot RBM deployed a crew member and a dewatering pump to assist with dewatering efforts.
The 45-foot RBM crew towed the sailboat to Cape May.
No injuries were reported.
