Went hunting yesterday afternoon at a spot we scouted and found birds at about a week ago. But when we got to our spot there was absolutely no water due to the extreme low tide. Instead of heading to the house we decided to wait around for the tide to come back in and see if the birds were still there. The tide finally got high enough right around sunset as we sat and watched hundreds of birds flying to roost and decided to give it a shot this morning. As the sun started to rise and shooting time came and went my excitement turned to confusion when we only saw three birds during the first 15 minutes of shooting time. But as the sun started rising so did the ducks. We had steady waves of birds flying over us for well over an hour. We ended up shooting our limit of blue wings between two of us. It's mornings like this that reminded me why duck hunters are willing to go to such extremes to find and hunt ducks. Hope everyone else was able to get on a few.
please tell me again why i decided not to go this morning....i feel like an idiot
Your reasoning for not going is understandable...Not all of us have free time like i do..I sure am glad im still in school and dont have 80 hour work weeks like someone i know....
i know that guy....what a loser
Great work!! Glad to see someone is doing some killing this fall!
