The ammo shelves at Bass Pro last night looked like the bread shelf at Harris Teeter after a snowfall forecast

Dicks in Garner = .223 @ $9.00 per box with a limit of 3 boxes

Perry's in Wendell = .223 @ $18 per box with a limit of 10 boxes. They had plenty there last Sat. Hell @ $18 a box - they can keep them!!!!!!

Many, Many stores are price gouging and we all will remember them when we are ready to buy another gun......

I will say this...just because the prices are high, doesn't neccessarily mean price gouging. 2 weeks ago i was selling 9mm ammo for 15.99 a box of 50. Now if I want to order any, the distributors are wanting $17-$19 a box. Now once I add any markup on that, guess what I will have to sell it for? Then, I'd be price gouging when people come in and see the price compared to what it was a few weeks back. it's almost better to not have it than be labeled as price gouging. The big box stores are still using ammo that they already had ordered from the previous year. They usually get a set rate also. Small shops are at the mercy of the distributors and right now it sucks. The prices will go down soon. I'm ready for it because this sucks.

Why is everybody complaining about ammo right now. Spring fishing is about to start.... has anyone bought a gallon of gas lately... and its only February.... record highs. Geeeeez. At least the ammo looks to be straight-up supply and demand; I can't say the same for gas.

That's what I'm talking about! I paid $3.85 yesterday and it keeps rising. If we hit $4.00 here at home I know thw mid-grade non-ethanol at the Marina will be at least $4.25. Even in my small boat that sucks.

The irony of our ammo costs and gasoine costs
is both issues are "manufactured" and
caused by the socialists now
in power.

They just cutting their own throats selling gasoline that high, sure people have to have it for work but other things like boats, charter trips, vacations will stop, that will affect restaurants etc.. As soon as those start falling off and people start really bitching and cutting back the prices will mysteriosly drop off again.
