I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for hunting divers in or around buzzards bay near the mouth of the river channel. I want to get in a good hunt for youth day. We have all the decoys and we have the boat. If someone has any tips or help its greatly appreciated.
Extremely hit or miss. Usually some buffleheads buzzing around, every now and then you will see a blue bill or two.
Plenty of divers around to the north though. If you can get up there to hunt you'll be better off.
When you say to the north where do you mean?
Last few weeks of the season there were tons of redheads on Core Sound and lots of bluebills on the Neuse and rivers around the Neuse (South River, Pungo etc). Core Sound died off after last weekend as there was no pressure on the birds to move. Good luck and shoot em up
