got off work this evening and went to my bow stand and climbed up at 5;30 at 6;30 3 deer came out and fed their way to me. at 5 yards I drew back and let fly with a perfect neck shot and it fell right on the spot. The only thing that would have made it better, if I had been aiming for the neck, anyway Iwill take luck any day.

Congratulations with the first one of the season behind you. That neck shot saved all shoulders for you.

Got my first last weekend as well. A nice 6-pointer with the Muzzle loader. They are chasing hard here already.

Got my first of the season this week. Was fortunate enough to have a friend offer his farm for me to hunt as I lost my lease after 10 years. 16" wide three pointer, I was looking a doe to put in the freezer but after determining the deer was at least 3 1/2 years old I took him. He filled the cooler and has an appointment with my butcher tonight. Good luck evdryone and be safe.
