Yep! I killed a big ole pig right here in Brunswick Co. I went hunting on some property that David Knox with Roans Branch Hunting has leased and I saw all kinds of animals. All together I saw 7 deer and 15 pigs. There were 4 good pigs in the bunch and I was about to shoot one of them when the "big guy" stepped out...He made the other pigs look like piglets and he was about 100yds past the group. As I waited for them to get closer he finally caught up with the group and gave me a good head shot at about 70yds...Dropped him like a sack of potatoes! I shot him with a 257 Roberts, 100gr Nosler Partition tip traveling about 2800fps...This was one of the coolest hunts I have ever been on...If you would like information on hog hunting right here in SE NC give David Knox a call or look him up at www.quailhuntnc.com

Wow! David has got some HIGH prices on them hunts.$225.00 1 day hog, sence I lived next to his place I think I will pass LOL.We've been catching them in a trap alot.
compared to the prices of the places in SC, he is actually cheeper...not to mention, I hunted 3 stands at one of those fancy places down there back in feb and never saw a pig! if you need any help trapping or killing let me know 😀 I sure do like to shoot pigs!
SENC is loaded with hogs espcially in Brunswick and Columbus Co along the Waccamaw river. If you can ask some landowners or know anyone in a deer club I'm pretty sure you can get yourself a free hog hunt. It does't take to long for them to multiply and they really do a lot of damage to roads. food plots etc. Most deer hunters will let you shoot them just to keep from them eating up all their bait piles during deer season. If they don't then give them a few years, they will. I know a guy who shot a 300 lb wild hog during deer season this past season in Bladen County. Of course these are domestic hogs that have become wild and multiply but they can get pretty mean too.
