I have been gifted with the opportunity to take over a lease in Pender County (about 10 min from Hampstead) and I just wanted to know if any of y’all have any interest in this potential deal.
We have about 1300 acres, good access roads, gated pine plantation anywhere from recent cutover to mature. Land is about 2 miles deep by a mile wide so it covers a large area.
Deer only – no turkey or Bear hunting allowed
Year round access for stand building, putting in food plots, baiting etc. Property has been leased/ managed for about 6 years, no giants going to come out of here but we have killed some respectable 8 and 10 pointers.
4 wheelers allowed for hunting

I would need 14 to16 members at $1000 each to make this work. That would cover the lease, insurance, annual bush hog fees, and feeding of club stands in season. Price could possibly be less depending on bushog estimates that come in.
Each member would have one “private stand / area” that was theirs to work or hunt on their own and teams of two members would be assigned a “club stand” to maintain / cut shooting lanes etc. Essentially we would have 16 private stands and 8 baited club stands that could be used by any member on a first come first serve basis. We have plenty of box and ladder stands already up plenty of space for more. This way you could either hunt your private stand or any of the club stands.
Members and immediate family could hunt anytime, there will be guest fee of about $20 / day and one guest per member will be permitted for each hunt, max of 5 guest hunts per member / year. 4 points on one side minimum or outside the ears spread for bucks, $200 fee for small bucks killed. Youth (under 16) can kill anything they want. We try not to shoot does until after the rut and that seems to work well.
Anybody interested in the 2013 season?? I will need about 8 new members to pull this off. ½ of payment will be due in March the balance in June.

Going to take 14 to 15 guns to make tihs work financially - there is a LOT or roads to maintain.
One option would be to bring in a member that would bushhog for his dues if he had a large tractor
We are hunting this propoerty with 10 members now and ther eis plenty of acerage to add a few more.
