sunday bowhunting

I just got an e-mail that said the rules that where passed but had been held up go into effect aug 1 . One being bowhunting on sundays on private land

It was in the paper as well. It also stated that anyone could use a crossbow during archery season.

You have to have a carry permit in order to use your cross bow. I have the papers from the NCWRC that states it. I will scan and put up here tomorrow.

I think the crossbow law states that you have to have a handgun purchase permit to buy a crossbow in NC. You can go out of state i.e. Bass Pro Shops in Myrtle Beach and buy one and bring it back to NC and hunt with it without a permit of any kind except a hunting license.
If I'm wrong please correct me but that's how I read the press release. I also notice that most mail order catalogs will not ship one to NC or California- what a shame that we're in the same class as them.
